Simulation of freshwater transport network and salt flux in the Bangladesh delta

Circulation of saline water is important for maintaining quality in the Ganges-Brahmaputra-Meghna (GBM) delta because its vulnerability to threat climate change. We applied a numerical model examine volume and salt transports within GBM delta, Bangladesh. To understand components intrusion driven by tidal subtidal (residual) transports, we selected 19 cross-sections represent complex circulation simplified network model. Our results show that over 82.51% river drains through eastern estuarine system (EES) wet season, increasing 98.37% dry season.
